February 16, 2021, Bogo City – The Sangguniang Panlungsod has authorized Mayor Carlo Jose A. Martinez to sign a contract with a private firm for the construction of a commercial complex at the former transport terminal. This after it approved on February 8 the resolution of Councilor Jose Brainard “Digoy” Mayol, who sits as chairman of the Committee on Infrastructure and Public Works.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod resolved to restore the economic life of the old facility and transform it into a commercial complex composed of three commercial buildings, a warehouse, and the conversion of the main terminal building into a commercial building. Total project cost is P38,812,201.23.
The three commercial buildings will be constructed at the parking area formerly intended for tricycles-for-hire fronting the main terminal building. Each building will be house five stalls.
The main terminal building will be converted into a commercial building and will have 20 stalls.
